Calvin Richard Klein is an American fashion designer who was create the famous brand Calvin Klein. He was born in 1942 in the Bronx where is the North of New York City

He studied at High School of Art and Design but never graduated and from NY Fashion Institue of Technolofy, recievinh a Doctorate at the graduation ceremony in 2003 and spent 5 years designing at other NY shops ----- He later, in 1968 launched hid first company with his childhood friend.

In 1964, Klein married Jayne Centre, with whom he had a daughter, Marci who cunrrently works at Saturday Night Live. Klein and Centre were divorced in 1974.

In the period 1974, Klein moved on to design the tight fitting jeans that would sell 200,000 in their first week. Klien was also the first designer to receive outstanding design in men's and woman's wear from the CFDA award show in the same year.

In 1978, Klein's daughter was kidnapped and held 9 hours until a $100,000 ransom was paid.

In 1986, Klein married Kelly Rector, who worked for the company and is also graduate of the Fashion Institue in NYC. The two were divorced in 2006.

With one exception Calvin Klein is the only human whose Personal Name Initials CK.
